Regional Treasury Council (CORET)

The Regional Treasury Council (CORET) is an advisory body responsible for monitoring Wallonia’s indebtedness. It issues recommendations on financing strategy by setting the guidelines and limits to be respected, such as the split between fixed and variable rates, the portfolio’s average maturity, financing needs, and the amortization schedule. CORET is composed of representatives of the members of Government (the Minister-President, the Vice-Presidents, and the Minister for Budget and Finance), the Finance Inspectorate, representatives of the Court of Audit, as well as SPW Finances (Wallonia Public Service – Finance) and WFE.
